Sometimes I slam my gas pedal to the floor and watch my car never leave economy mode as it gently works its way up to 48 miles per hour, a perfect speed to go while on a Portland highway doing fifty.

In the right-most lane, of course. I got a speeding ticket with a more capable car once—never again.

Mitsubishi mirage for life. Can park that shit in a bathroom cubicle.

Those consistently rank high on "worst car ever" lists.

More for me!

Triumph@fedia.io · 23 pts · 73d

Sorry, I didn't mean that as an insult. Anyone who is capable of embracing a Mitsubishi Mirage is able to see what so many others cannot. Consider it high praise.

Ah-ha, my '71 beetle is no longer the worst. Yay!

Triumph@fedia.io · 2 pts · 73d

I drove a 74 for a while, they're never the worst.

It’s much more fun to drive a slow car fast than it is to drive a fast car slow.

wreckedcarzz@lemmy.world · 10 pts · 73d (2 replies)

Me, driving a fast car fast: 😎🌌🧠

Mac@mander.xyz · 5 pts · 72d (1 reply)

wreckedcarzz@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 72d

Unironically the scene around the yarris is fucking baller and it's the exact kind of car that car culture is built around

BigDiction@lemmy.world · 12 pts · 73d (1 reply)

Cause it’s cheap and/or easy to work on?

Fleur_@aussie.zone · 15 pts · 73d

Yeah and it's a solid frame for modification with easy to source parts

The yaris is the base car for their rally cars isn't it? So you could arguably beef tf out of it.

If you think your car doesn't have enough health, take it to the mechanic. Maybe he can put it back at full hit points.

There was a videogame that featured a Yaris. It was trying to be Sonic, I think.

Edit: I forgot that you had a gun mounted to the hood.

mech@feddit.org · 3 pts · 72d

A prehensile robotic gun called a "mechanosymbiont" emanating from the hood.

Rule 34 on Toyota Yaris? No I'm not gonna Google it.

sudoMakeUser@sh.itjust.works · 1 pts · 72d (1 reply)

That was wild. It was free and it still only had one positive review.

AngryCommieKender@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 72d

I didn't say it was a good game.

CelloMike@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 73d

Nice

33550336@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 73d

At least the car is jdm

mrgoosmoos@lemmy.ca · 4 pts · 72d

a Yaris is a fucking sweet car. barebones, direct feedback to driver, light, can push to the limit.

it's so much more fun to drive than an FR-S is on a public roads. and safer.

We have a Yaris, great car, good pickup. It can actually fly fairly well if one is willing to let it.
