On the 15th of June, India successfully test-fired its Long-Range Land Attack Cruise Missile off the coast of Odisha. The made-in-India missile is a major defence boost to the country. Dubbed my media as 'India's Tomahawk', this missile is capable of striking targets 1,500 kilometres away while flying just a few metres above the ground, making it difficult for radars to detect it. The missile is part of the DRDO's Nirbhay program and faced several challenges before achieving complete success yesterday. India is now among the very few nations that have their own subsonic cruise missile.
