I am very very new to Linux and CachyOS. A week ago I installed CachyOS and choose KDE Plasma.
Luckily the same week I read news about KDE Plasma 6.7 being released with ton of features.
I thought running pacman - Syu would update everything including the desktop environment but apparently that did not work and I am still on 6.6.x
Can you help me understand what went wrong?

It's not in the repos yet, 6.6.5 is currently the latest: https://packages.cachyos.org/package/extra/any/plasma-meta
6.7.0 is currently in extra-testing: https://archlinux.org/packages/?sort=&q=plasma-desktop&maintainer=&flagged=
It shouldn't be in there long before it filters down.
Running an Arch derivative is normally about being at the cutting edge, not the "ow I'm bleeding" edge.
