The video seems to be misinformation at best, given that its source is this CNBC article from 2022 on a policy that was reversed by the not-so beautiful bill the republicans passed last year.

If I were a gig worker I just wouldn’t file. At the rate we’re going by the time they get around to you, especially if it happens en masse, there won’t be an entity to hunt you down left. Maybe I’m optimistic
