I thought this too, but then I remembered that the admin here doesn't use the captcha, but rather has a text box to manually verify if you're human or not. So hopefully, they have no issue updating sooner rather than waiting. I'm hopeful! 0.18 brings a lot of very good changes to Lemmy.

0.18 doesn't support captcha, so he may not want to yet. I haven't noticed anything really wrong with Jerboa, despite the warning.
