Protection filter/UV filter for risky environments

What do folks consider the best filter to protect the 12-40mm 2.8 Pro and mark II in risky environments, like the beach, dusty environments etc? Is there a go to recommendation?

I'm looking for an ultra thin one that won't cause vignetting and doesn't degrade image quality.
