I remember it clearly. The year was 1979 and I'd heard this amazing song on the radio. I went into the HMV in the center of Northampton to buy the album. The problem was that I didn't know who the singer was. My solution was to sing it at the bemused guy behind the counter. Imagine a 13 year old going "Oooooooooeeeeee aaaaa aaaaa" over and over with a hopeful glint in his eye. Amazingly the guy figured out it was "Heart of Glass" and that's when I bought Blondie - Parallel Lines 🙂
