For some reason this doesn't excite me like the announcement for the first Edgerunner did. I hope it is as good this time and not just slop to ride the current success. I've been collecting basically everything from this franchise at this point.

Exact opposite for me, I had no hype for the first one. I thought it would probably be ok, but would not make a lasting impact.
This time I'm trying my best not to over hype myself.

I'm glad they're doing an anthology with it. I hope it's more hopeful this time around. I'm very happy that the main character dying was on the table, but it'd be cool to see if they can do a story that maintains the cyberpunk feel without killing them off. I'll definitely check it out, though, and I'm sure the will be setting up some of the themes of the next game in the series I imagine. I'm hoping some of their pre-production work will show up!

I'm optimistic about this one.
As someone who likes Studio Trigger and doesn't know much about Cyberpunk, edgerunners was surprisingly good. On top of that, Kai Ikarashi, a talented animator who episode directed one of the best episodes of the first series, is helming this this new one (his debut as series director as far as I know).
Gonna check this one out for sure.
