Resumption of Leipzig trams delayed due to heat

Earlier in the day the agency suspended tram services until 3:30 am (0130 GMT) on Monday morning. The authority had repeatedly extended its initial suspension of service due to the heat affecting the tracks. A joint sealing compound has melted due to the heat and run into the tracks, requiring a cleaning of the affected surfaces.
