We evolved to gamble on an almost second to second basis just like every other living thing.
What's dangerous is unfair and unregulated gambling designed to be as addictive as possible while ensuring the house never loses. Especially when the gates are wide open for outright manipulation.
People are being exploited on a fundamental level by cutthroat corporations, the real problem is the government putting corporations over citizens.
Not to mention the ruined integrity of sports. There are already big cases of trying to manipulate the outcome of games. Now it's a meme, someone plays like shit "yo check his fan duel account". Just another shitty aspect of our present.
