You should hydrate yourself, it's recommended to drink at least 2 L of water per day for an average adult. Depending of the weather, this recommendation can be higher.
One question that I do have to ask is, why is there ads during break when you're watching sport at the TV ? That's not something that usually occurs.

I'm not really following this world cup, but I heard lots of people criticise these hydration breaks because they're used to shove even more adverts into a game. In theory, I think they're a good idea, especially in hot regions, but it's usually at the referee's discretion iirc, not hard-coded into the game. Regardless of that, I agree, stay hydrated uwu

Yeah, but I don't think it's necessary to show advertisement during the hydration break. And apparently, in the USA, it's not just during world cup but during every match that they one or multiple breaks to show ads.

Oh yeah, I completely agree! Filling every second of downtime with ads is incredibly annoying and feels like it's even bad for us. The amount of money companies spend on ads is also mind-blowing. Millions of dollars for a 30-second ad during the Super Bowl (idk how much an ad during the world cup costs, but it's probably also super expensive), that's just nuts. They spend so much money and don't even make the world a better place with it

No, cause it's not profitable enough on a short-time period

I think that's the main reason why hydration breaks are criticized. It's reasonable to have breaks so people can hydrate, and it hot places people will need more. It's not reasonable to cram them full of ads.

Yeah, and I'm pretty sure they also recommend to hydrate using one of their sponsored soda drink which in most case have the opposite effect.
