So what you’re saying is that it may be slightly less profitable to be a landlord and buildings MAY be sold for less money than landlords would like to less desirable buyers who may not charge premiums for rent? So, the fatal news is that landlords could potentially make something like 5% less than they would ideally like to make while individuals and families are able to afford groceries? Like, that’s the argument here?
What a cesspool. No matter what, these ppl will never be happy. Meanwhile they seem perfectly fine with everything happening in this country, but rent freeze is going to destroy everything for a smaller subset of people who have the option to sell and most likely make a profit if they choose it's to much. Also what about all those years rent control has been out of control? The only people who are truly suffering are the people who can't afford these rate hikes and have no other option because nobody gets 5% raises each and every fucking year like they seem to think. Affordability for all, please.
