@telegram what the hell have you done to the UI in the latest version of telegram? Its horrid. Stop making changes to UI unless you are prepared to put a settings menu in to customise it back for people who hate floating crap and fading into the distance messages. Looks horrid.

There are forks with the old UI on Fdroid. For a better + sketchier option try AyuGram

Be aware that they are unlikely going to last for long. The forks that want to stay up-to-date with upstream features are going to have an increasingly harder life in merging upcoming changes, and those that are not receiving updates (eg. AyuGram) at some point will not be able to get a valid session from the server
