For those who don't know, ABDL is a broad space of kinks, lifestyles, and forms of consensual adult play involving various combinations of ageplay and/or diaper play. Sensual and kinky to some, comforting and silly to others, fun for all!
There are a lot of different ways to play and ABDL pairs great with lots of other popular kinks like BDSM (power dynamics, bathroom use control, diapered bondage, humiliation, punishment), nurturing and care giving, cross-dressing (sissification), furry (baby fur), pee play, scat play, spanking, and just about anything else you can dream up. Dress up in cute clothes for a change, secretly pee somewhere naughty, green out in a diaper while eating snacks and watching cartoons from your childhood--there are a lot of ways to enjoy this "hobby". 😇
The ABDL scene has grown a ton over the last few decades, with more people, more events, and more businesses/products available than ever before. And while it's unfortunately still too often misunderstood for (or worse, intentionally conflated) with unethical or illegal things, ABDL has recently become much better understood and accepted within the broader kink community as another form of legitimate and exciting form of adult play, backed by a community that deeply emphasizes consent, safety, respect and sex-positivity.
Right now the current ABDL community is extremely centralized on platforms like Fetlife, Reddit and Discord--all of which are fine on the surface, but also I think problematic in various ways that I won't get into here. Outside of the Mastodon instance https://abdl.link/, there isn't much representation here on the Fediverse yet, which is why I started a community here.

Don't downvote a fetish you don't like. I'm not into this, but they deserve respect like any other fetish outside the norm. Vanilla does not make the world revolve.
There are extreme exceptions to this, but I don't think they need to be named. The algorithm picks up on names (I know Lemmy doesn't use the "Algorithm," but scrapers, bots, and assorted assholes use Lemmy). So let's not name those exceptions, unless we're talking about tRump and co.

Yeah, it's always mildly disappointing that people in a supposedly sex-positive space (where kink shaming is explicitly against the rules...) being so prudish and kink-negative.
Obviously ABDL isn't going to be everybody's cup of tea (no worries, no kink is), but it shouldn't be hard to understand and respect that it's a nothing more than a consensual adult roleplay activity for fun.

If you and the others promoting this crap would just stay blocked and stop popping-up with alts pretending your "community" hasn't been active here for months/years, or are "persecuted" by low-subscriber numbers, you might have something like a point, but also, NO.
