The modern American experience be like:

Would you rather take a $1500 ambulance ride or deal with an Uber driver that won't turn off Joe Rogan? Either way, you're gonna suffer.

I was thinking about that the other day (not Piccolo). Like, if I were conscious there would definitely be a thought of "can I make it to the ER like this" to avoid the ambulance cost. There's gotta be a cut off point (not like that) of where I would definitely call vs when I would try to drive while being in horrific pain.

Welcome to the US! Doesn't this sound great?!

(Told my husband the ambulance part and he didn't think it was as funny as I did.)

"You're an ambulance."

This is why I found an apartment next door to a hospital. As long as I can crawl, no ambulance needed.

It costs nothing to call an ambulance. You pay if you get a ride in one.

Unless this varies by location.
