That might be a Green Frog actually. It looks like it has dorsolateral ridges running down its back. Bullfrogs don't have those.

Very cool! I'm trying to become more familiar with all of our local species, but I admit I don't know much about our local amphibians.

I was always under the impression they were bullfrogs too. They are very close. Both green frogs and bullfrogs are in the same genus Lithobates. If it sounds like a loose banjo string it's a green frog.
