Yeah, I suppose just getting a feel for the track can be useful? Though probably not to an extent that it will buy them any sort of advantage.

So TPC rules are so they can’t correlate data between old and new cars, but for this new circuit they can TPC but are not and instead using the current car..? The article is very confusing as to what the controversy or advantage is regarding the TPC restrictions. I would have thought running the current car is more an advantage?

Its comparing promotional day rules to TPC rules. I fail to see the problem.
