I can't get over how extremely self-centered a worldview MAGA has that they think white people somehow have more of a right to control North America than the people that were there first. These are the people who don't see the irony in wanting to move to a country with no immigrants
I think this animosity probably has to do with a number of energy projects that are opposed by Native American groups. I don't think the administration got very far with this argument, but it is not for lack of trying.
I assume it's not an easy sell because to get voters to believe this is a big enough problem to change it, they have to acknowledge that Trump hasnt fixed any immigration issues.

I don't get it, if they want to remove birthright citizenship couldn't they just amend the Constitution with a referendum ?
It would have a reasonable chance of passing.
