When using voyager, if you are in a community that you're allowed to post, clicking the three dot menu at the upper right of the screen will bring up a flyout with "Submit Post".

Thank you so much o do see that on community now but no option on the home or local sections of lemmy 🫂

Correct, because it wouldn't know in which community to put the post. Once you navigate to a community, it will offer the option and place your post in that community.

Yes you can use Voyager to post and view. I use it on Android.

How about on the home or local sections of lemmy
LordMayor@piefed.social · 12 pts · 44d
Those aren’t communities they’re subscriptions/feeds—an aggregation of posts from communities you’re subscribed to.
To post, go to the community that you want to post in.

Is the local feed what my server hosts?
Lumidaub@feddit.org · 4 pts · 44d
Local is everything on your server, Home is your subscriptions from any server, All is everything your server federates with.

Welcome to Lemmy! After you login, you can change between different view modes (subscribed, local, and all), change some of the filters, and select to create a new post. When making a new post, you will have to select a community to post it in (e.g. "nostupidquestions") and give it a title, and optionally a description, image, or link. Pretty neat!
If you want to experiment with different user interfaces, you can try Summit, Jerboa, or Thunder (on Android) or mLem (on iOS)!

Thank you I wi try that!! I don’t know how to get files from GitHub and install them but I might try those others viewers

The apps listed for Android are either available through F-Droid or, in the case of Summit, requires Obtainium (if you don't want to use the Play Store)

I don’t have android but good to know
sbeak@sopuli.xyz · 1 pts · 44d
if you're on iOS, mLem should be on the App Store
Timmy6@lemmy.today · 1 pts · 44d
Thank you going to get it now

Thank you so far I like the interface better

I find that the Summit app is way more efficient than Voyager. I was a heavy Voyager user until I found Summit. It is definitely and fully customizable.

I will try to get it I’m not good with this stuff is it downloable somewhere
HoneyMustardGas@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 44d
Summit is on the Google Play store and it is the most modern way to view Lemmy.

Sad now I have iOS n OC 😔
HoneyMustardGas@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 44d
Well you have better overall experience. I could never afford an iPhone. Not saying which I think is better.
