Does anyone have any experience gaming on Free BSD?

I installed Ghost BSD on a Thinkpad with somewhat descent integrated graphics. I hear Proton can sort of be made to work on Free BSD. Is it worth the effort? Obviously I should just use Linux but I already do on my other machines. I wanted to try something different.
