The dragonfly is supposed to be one of nature's most successful hunters, but it looks like the owl didn't like that opinion, so she took out the competition.

I dunno, maybe right in this moment. Natural selection has thought dragonflies have been worth keeping around for 200 million years! Will owls have that kind of sticking power? 😜
