If they continue with this "strategy" for long enough, The Mexican Gulf will have to be renamed The Iranian Gulf.

Dennis Ross, a former U.S. Middle ‌East peace negotiator, ⁠said from Washington's point of view, "the issue is, how do you change the Iranian calculus to the point where they're ready, again, to talk, but not just to talk, but actually to work out an arrangement that is ... acceptable."

Maybe the US should stop acting so erratic. Turns out ripping up deals, reigning on agreements, and acting like the guy in the neighborhood who doesn't wear pants and wields knife; is not that productive for foreign policy goals.
