I only called my teacher mom once, and it was like 3rd grade, but luckily it was an english class and the task was to say 1 english word we learned, so I "saved" it =w= (the teacher totally knew)
My wife is a teacher to teenagers (high school). She gets called mom on a regular basis. Especially when she wakes one of them up from a little classroom nap. It happens often enough the kids don't even give each other a hard time.
Now when they call her grandma... She doesn't find that endearing.
On the same note, you know you're in a stable relationship when you stop accidentally calling your partner "mom" and start accidentally calling your mother "honey"

At least you said mum. I said full blown "mummy" once to the teacher and the social fall out was heavy
