Xi is trying to run a country. Trump and his gang are just a mob racket. Without reading I'm gonna say thats the consensus in general. Now I'm gonna see how westoid I am by reading.

Winning a popularity competition against maliciously incompetent and obviously corrupt fascists isn't the win for China that the tankie instances will undoubtedly claim it is.

I would rather say the U.S. are seen less favorably as it has gotten worse, but China isn't a better option. The study says that, so the headline is a bit misleading I would say.
