It took the author until halfway through this article to say even a word about demand. The whole first half is a good depiction about the alternative-reality hype bubble the Alberta oil industry and government lives in. We're gonna ship so much oil and make money hand over fist!!!
Who's going to buy Alberta's oil that is shipped out? Supply-side Jesus? Conveniently, the IEA report cited is the Nov 2025 one before everything got disrupted. But I'll let it slide for now, until we get the next year's projections of global oil demand.
