Using lemmy.zip here.
I went through the web browser to change my display name. I made sure to click “save” as well. But it is still showing “Aedaz_” here on the app as well as the web browser.
Am I missing something?

On your home instance you now seem to be NSFW_Metal_Head, but just so yoi know, edits exceeding the charlimit will bounce

Does the name change only show there or is it supposed to accompany the post as well?

As mistermodal says, your display name has changed on lemmy.zip. However it doesn't show here on lemmy.ml. That's to be expected, display name changes do not federate instantly. It can take multiple hours.
