Iranian officials say overnight US strikes destroyed a desalination facility supplying drinking water to about 10,000 people.
Hamzeh Pour, chief executive of the Hormozgan Water and Wastewater Company, said US strikes hit desalination pumps and electrical infrastructure in Bunji village, in Jask, cutting off water supplies to 20 villages.
"The supply of drinking water to 20 villages with a population of approximately 10,000 people has been completely disrupted," Pour was quoted by Iran's Tasnim News Agency as saying.

I wonder if I will live long enough to see the US being held accountable
Quokka@quokk.au · 22 pts · 30d
They’ll nuke the planet before ever allowing that.

I guess we will know what would have happened if the Nazis had nukes

Bold of you to assume any of the bombs work, and haven't been misplaced.

The US can't even arrest a world renown pedophile rapist that is in every obvious way protecting himself along with countless other pedophile rapists.
Not only that, but there's still a solid third of the American people willing to associate with this disgusting person and his openly corrupt political party.
This country is so fucked right now. Ignorance and cruelty are being praised here. Those who work hardest are ridiculed. The people in power are largely the worst or most useless in society.

I don't think the human lifespan is long enough.

We haven't even begun to see the suffering this war is going to cause.
Fuck.

Is this true? I just read another news item that reported Iran had targeted Kuwait's desalination plant. It is said the first casualty of war is truth.
unemployedclaquer@sopuli.xyz · 8 pts · 29d
Seems the plant is not in Kuwait, but in Iran. Kuwait confirmed the attack and is a u.s. ally. OP is a bot perhaps
LibertyLizard@slrpnk.net · 10 pts · 29d
OP is definitely not a bot. Why do you say the plant was in Iran?
From my reading it seems there may be two plants, one in Kuwait and one in Iran, both damaged. The headline is confusing but I believe that's what they're saying.

Sorry that was a dig at cm0002 or whatever
LibertyLizard@slrpnk.net · 2 pts · 28d
Ok I'm just saying I've interacted with them before and I really doubt they are a bot.

Are we sure this is the same facility? Your article does not contain many details.
Edit: I believe they are different.

Both can be true. Iran has capability of destroying desalination plants as does the US.
Iran hit the Kuwait desalination plant on Friday as reported by many sources:

It's obviously difficult to get reliable news from Iran, but reports of the strike on the desalination plant in Bonji village started coming in in on Saturday. Though it's possible the strike may have happened earlier.
No indication in either case of whether the desalination plants were intentionally targeted.

It’s almost like… there are no winners in war.
cavitationfetishist2@quokk.au · 1 pts · 29d
Uh, then why does america always win?
Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works · 1 pts · 29d
The people in power nearly always win.
It's not just America, it's most powerful groups that are successfully taken over by evil and self-serving people.
The US has a chance to correct, but this is still to be seen. The next big paradigm shift is slated for about four months from now.
The people of the US want this to end if the polls are accurate, but Trump will do anything to retain power. I think he will fail, but we shall see...

That was a joke. The united States hasn't won a major war in living memory.
DireTech@sh.itjust.works · 1 pts · 28d
Hmm iraq? First war was a win but it directly led to the second fiasco. Afghanistan? No Vietnam? No Korea? No
WW2 was the last clear win.
