that's the neat thing. when you control the entire government because nobody can/will stand up to you, nothing you do is illegal because you hold the monopoly on violence.
It doesn't matter. The ruling reinforced the fact that the president has very limited authority to simply implement tariffs unilaterally...and none of these latest justifications are anywhere closer to being valid, than the ones he used before.
According to the latest Supreme Court rulings, Congress is the only branch of government that can authorize the kinds of tariffs Trump keeps threatening to impose on other countries that don't bend the knee to his whims. So, he's just pissing into the wind here.
Well, are the tariffs being charged or aren't they?
Your technicalities don't really matter for shit if nobody cares. A law is not a magic spell; it's just some shit people said.
When we all are used to laws being things nobody wants that don't serve anyone, what's the justification for one mother fucker's statements being superior to another? Somebody said it, so I won't be punished for doing it that way, I don't really care about my job, why does it matter?
Nothing has actually happened yet, this time. It may not even get that far, since the ruling has already been made, a lower court decision may already be enough to stop it before it even gets started. That's how "precedent" works. The more you try and fail, the easier it is to slap that shit down...until eventually there are no more ways to try.
The reason quoted was unfair treatment towards US cars, dairy and alcohol... Idk about dairy but US cars are shit and they don't buy the alcohol because they simply hate Trump's America. That's not unfair, that's a free market.
Not exactly. Canadian provinces pulled alcohol from shelves, which is restriction of trade.
They should put the alcohol back and just let the bottles gather dust.
Dairy is about Canada not wanting US food with hormones and shit in it.

No. I mean, the Supreme Court has already ruled that tariffs like these are illegal.

a distinction that means jack shit if the DoJ and Congress is loyal to him. he's untouchable as long as he controls those two organizations

Guess that means you should get out and vote in the next mid-terms then? Flip Congress...save the world?

You can say its illegal all you want, hell you can make a song out of it, but what are you going to do about it.
Nothing. What's anyone down there going to do about it. Nothing
That makes it now legal.
Arrest innocent people. Nothing Shoot people. Nothing Rape kids. Nothing.

To be fair, we only pulled the alcohol in response to the initial bs tariffs anyway. It wasn’t for no reason.

What is US industry going to use for aluminum and how will farmers feed crops without potash? How about Canadian oil?
Why is Trump punishing Americans?
