China, Thailand eye deeper tech cooperation to drive 'prosperous shared future'

The two countries may have a shared future, but prosperity sides only with one country (and it's not Thailand).

Between 2013 and 2024, Thailand's exports to China grow from USD 27 billion to more than USD 35 billion, +22%

In the same period, Thailand's imports from China grew from USD 35 billion to more than USD 80 billion, +128%.

Thailand's trade deficit with China grew by a factor of six in the last decade, a pattern we observe we almost all of Beijing's 'partners'.
