Jacquelyn Starer pleaded guilty to eight counts, including a felony assault charge, for her role in the Capitol riots.
During the riot, Starer joined other individuals trying to push past police officers who were guarding a passageway to then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office. A Justice Department prosecutor noted that rioters reacted to Starer’s assault by becoming more aggressive, subsequently charging the police line.
U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly stated that Starer rushed toward the police line “like a heat-seeking missile.” Judge Kelly added that this was “a pretty ominous thing given the threat to the physical safety of our members of Congress.” When asked by the judge where she was trying to go, Starer replied, “The short answer is, ‘I don’t know.’”
Welp, she should be in jail. But, at least there are some consequences

This is a good reminder that someone's got to finish at the bottom of the class, even in med school.
