Before enshittification started it was a remarkable place to read great stuff al the time. The mechanics must have been good. Went downhill very fast sadly.

Quora pays for posting questions to some. So i would guess some good communities on reddit would stil be halfway good.

Depends on the question. In general, I ask my partner and she often doesn't know, so we quickly browse both reddit and quora for similar questions, laugh at the generally insane/inane responses that users often give, forget what we were doing and move on to something else.

Otherwise, I go for stack exchange and hope for the best.
