I have been a fan of an app called Tauon for playback of music. However being really Linux only at the moment I was completely unaware that they had versions for mac and windows till just recently. Buried under the settings near the bottom in the stats section. There is a grid generator.

Which does what it says on the tin. Give it a try and post your own. We can all see how much we recognize. 🙃 Included below is a selection of my library I'm working on reorganizing and fixing tagging. As the image shows roughly 2872 albums tagged fully atm. Included below is the full resolution file somewhat reasonably compressed. Heh I figured the severely down sized 42kb image in the header would get less hate than people having to load the 7+Mb version or the 30 MB original JPG as they scroll past.

I had a terabyte of music and I lost it. I am now mostly on streaming/YouTube music. I have a collection of playlists.

Yeah, it wasn't one of my brightest moves. Remember to back up your files.

That's why you remember your 3 2 1. And a Tb seems a lot. But that depends. A Tb of FLAC isn't much. Roughly 2500 albums. Which is several hundred albums less than what I just posted in that organized selection. But then again, lol I am a bit of a data border so I guess 2500 would be a lot for many.

I had a mix of Flac and mp3's. I also had about that much of movies. Not only that, but I was flying the black flag so it is like karma or something.

Yeah, streaming can currently make a lot of that unnecessary for your average person I suppose. Honestly I probably listen to streaming services more than anything. My library got its most use when I was djing actively. I still keep it up in case. And band camp flac help with that 😆

Sorry bud, best I can do is a low-res pic of most the albums in my Insane Clown Posse directory. (via a couple VLC grid view screen caps patched together.)

Hey, that's more than enough. Not a competition, trust me on that. I know other DJ who's collection is deeper and broader than mine. Doesn't mean I don't like to look and dive into them. Just a bit of fun and an opportunity to share the software etc.

Oh yeah I got more than that, those are just the ones easiest to preview and screencap.

Nice mix. I was able to pick out a a lot a familliar ones old and new. Zombie, manson, ministry, nin etc. As well as some more modern like Drab Majesty and IAMX. Heh I know we talked a bit of house and techno before. I've never Heard of Todd Terje lol but something about him having an album cover with uncle grandpa on it? Has me intrigued. Jean Michell Jarre too, heh now that brings back memories of the 80's for me for sure. Heh damn and HM Fakk II. Was super excited when they announced it. Hoping the movie would be anywhere as good as the first. Had the game as well. Unfortunately while servicible. The first was probably too much lightning in a bottle to hope to approach again. Between the soundtrack, the cast and the producer the first was in a class of it's own.
