I really enjoyed the idea of a news show that reflects on current events (like The Newsroom), but they often times struggled to reflect on the events and instead left them as more of a backdrop to the story they wanted to tell. The story is usually the better part of the season so they probably should have just been set in a fictional world that parallels our own.
A fifth and final season is probably for the best. The show is a bit overly dramatic at times and starting to go a little off the rails, so this will give them one last huzzah while still being believable.
