The Imitation Game (2014) — 9/10 This was a film that completely flew under my radar until I discovered it on Reddit, and I’m glad I gave it a chance. It delivers incredible highs and devastating lows, with some of the best acting I’ve seen in a while. Benedict Cumberbatch absolutely nailed the role, portraying a brilliant but arrogant character whose flaws slowly grow on you. I found similarities to the protagonist from the Chernobyl miniseries, especially the idea that “no good deed goes unpunished.” With excellent pacing and many emotional moments, this is a must-watch for anyone who hasn’t seen it.

WW2 happened, and Turing had involvement in it. And there the similarities to reality end.

Except that you can't libel the dead. And that's about the only thing that prevented a legal challenge.

Movie had it's problems, but it's still a phenomenal watch. The point of it is accurate, the man was on the spectrum, he had a hard time making friends, and then he invented what we know of as all of computing and then none of that mattered to the government because he was gay.
Bendlidoodle Cuddlefish and Kiera Knightley both did phenomenally in their roles. I was very happy with it.
