How can Americans view their soldiers' deaths as tragic events, despite the U.S. initiating wars and killing other countries' civilians without justification?
Twitter memes? Brain eating parasites? Maybe they just like the uniforms. I honestly have no idea. I just had to listen to a coworker rant about how their kids weren’t patriotic enough on 4th of July, which turned into a second rant about how awful all other countries are. It gave me the impression they don’t really consider non-americans to be human. So maybe when we see “slaughtering innocent people”, they see it as top athletes pushing the envelope in their sport
