Loose-fitting robe for daily wear. Knee or ankle length, long or short sleeve, pockets or no pockets.
I wanted the freedom of nudity during the heat of summer, but society says no. I dont like the femme nature of dresses. I thought ill get a long shirt thats knee length and nobody can complain. They don't really make them. Plus i also like pockets. I learned about throbes, but theyre religious garb. I found kaftans to be the solution. My skin breathes, and im not feeling restricted physically or by gender norms.
I bought 3 of the same "night shirt" (gown) online and they are knee length. Those are comfy, but too loose at the shoulders. This one i bought for cooler summer weather, its more of a regular cloth, and makes me feel like a monk or wizard.
Looking lovely and cozy! I think we managed to get a couple of these when we've gone thrifting but never had a name for them, awesome to know now. - Phoebe (it/its)

Kaftans are really comfy, especially with hot weather. Yours looks extra soft!
