Besides the obvious tragedy of this, I also absolutely detest how nothing can be talked about without involving monetary value anymore!

Fuck how much the grain is worth, how many mouths could it have fed?!

It’s just budgets and financial markets.

It's not only the heat waves: We are having a global fertilizer crisis due to Trump, which means less agriculture output globally. We really do not know if Russia is able to get their harvest in and ship it. El Nino is coming. That can quickly get really ugly

The ruling class has long since decided they do not care about climate change. Seems they are just fine with letting a couple hundred million peasants starve to death.

If a political party's agenda doesn't include climate mitigation (delaying the inevitable) and adaptation (preparing for the inevitable), it's just wishful thinking.

And deniers are worse than Flat-Earthers at this point.
