Agents claimed they only stopped on Tribal land to "use the restroom" and deny targeted enforcement (racial profiling). The 1855 treaty with Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs remains legally binding, yet has historically been violated by the U.S.

The woman has a red handprint painted across her mouth and cheek. That is a symbol of the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives movement.

Arrest occurred outside the South Portland ICE facility in Portland, Oregon.
