A Stanley Robotics autonomous parking robot then slides underneath the vehicle, lifts it by its tyres and transports it to a secure storage area.

Makes sense. Vehicle doesn't need to be in drive. Same strategy that a lot of warehouse robots currently use.

Sounds like a dream. No searching for a spot or counting change anymore!
