I remember reading another article (like this by lithography experts explaining the many pitfalls. Still the stock has tanked a net 4,6% driven by this news.

My understanding is that a stock price will fall if people think that people think that it is in trouble, even if it is not in trouble.

Yeah, exactly. Sentiment ( ~trust & prognosis) plays an important role in demand too, and thus in the stockprice.
