California's data center footprint is outrunning Texas and Florida, as is its carbon footprint.
Meanwhile, the citizenry of California do not appear to see an appreciable amount of that economic growth. Rising real estate prices, rising utility costs, and inflated retail revenues aren't being pocketed by the media California worker. According to the California WARN Act reports, over 3.2 million workers in California have been affected by layoffs across 6,206 companies since the start of the year.
Profits are up. Wages are flat. Employment is down.

How are you supposed to have a growing economy if the money just goes to the plebians at the bottom? Checkmate! There have been studies done that say universal income is BAD, and NEGATIVELY IMPACTS just about EVERYTHING. Those were conducted by big real corporate scientists, not some lousy government or other scientists trying to find ways to benefit society. If your landlord makes a good amount of money, your rent goes down because they just have so much money already of course. Your money spent at the grocery store lets the grocery store buy MORE food, and yet you complain about the prices. You're practically giving to charity, people need that food. I mean, not the poor people who need it the most, the IMPORTANT people.

Our local city announced an increase in revenue from taxes which will be used on new roads and expansion of our water system. It snow balls into good things for the community.

Blue states have been carrying the red one for decades.
It's kind of interesting how we know what economic models work, but we just deny reality because "freedom".
