Maybe Beshear should just pay McConnell a visit himself, and bring a camera crew with him.

This would be helpful. There is no way they'll let him in to see McConnell, and this will highlight the fact and underscore the speculation that McConnell is either dead or completely incapacitated.

He should just accept McConnell "signed" letter of resignation. How are they going to dispute it?
