I think it's youtube experiment feature for premium user, apparently for selected user only right now. I only noticed it appear on my feed today, so maybe they're expanding slowly
Oh... These sorta "instant play" games are quite ubiquitous. Even Microsoft promoted other casual games in their own Solitaire app, Edge browser and elsewhere.

When I exit the building still it was still ok. but the basement exit is just opposite the station so I didn't have to walk that far

Yeah, it's basically html5 based game that run in browser, youtube basically used an in-app browser for this.
