Has the format changed for the ai-character-chat

Has the format changed for the ai-character-chat, i have noticed that the ai seems to be spitting out a paragraph or two of unnecessary content. For instance if I say Hi to the chat bot it will reply with a paragraph or two of unnecessary content before replying with a Hello. I can minimize the unnecessary content by changing the response length to one paragraph. It used to be I would get the response first and then a lot of unnecessary chatter content which you could eliminate by shortening the response length.
