I had a profound thought about 20 mins ago; What if the boomers who knew they were mentally ill didn't give much thought about it and just hyper masked into society just enough to get by and what if the no second thought to it made it so that they forgot about the fact that they were mentally ill or has something wrong with them.
What if even after diagnosing in the later 80's and even after having some sense of diagnostic material and having some sense of knowing that there could be something wrong they just went on with their lives?
What if that was the genetic time bomb that happened because they retried for a better generation after gen x? what if, they fucked themselves over by just acting normal and to just fit in and to just move forward what if all the ignorance was the reason why we're all mentally fucked over?
What if having bad genetics is the reason humanity fails?

It's not genetics....
It's lead compounded with the normal effects of aging.
A baby born today, in 70 years will see the same effect, just to a lesser extent.
It'll take centuries before it stops being an issue. That's how much lead is still floating around and how little it takes to cause issues.
And obviously that means when we're 70, the later generations will say the same about us.
We won't be as bad, but the change is going to happen. That's why it's so important we pivot to younger politicians. Young and lead poisoned is better than geriatric and lead poisoned.

I'm living in an apartment that's grandfathered in, so the lead paint that's been chipping away isn't an inspection issue, however it would take a hazmat certified team to remove it and I'm in the poverty income line and my landlords have basically told me if I stay I can have the place. I have the windows open most of the time but I know that doesn't do much.
I have doors from the 70's with the lead paint chipping off. They're so old the only place you can find direct replacements is scavenging a lumber yard.
