Repeated intermittent Error 500 messages

Saw this post with similar errors a week ago, so I don't seem to be alone in this.

Over about the last 2 weeks, I frequently encounter error code 500 messages when trying to add pictures.

It is intermittent, but will sometimes persist for a while. It doesn't seem to be the photos, because if I keep at it, they will eventually upload and post properly. Sometimes it's just one or two errors, and this morning I eventually took a break for 15 minutes after repeated attempts frustrated me, and then some pics would upload fine, while others still gave errors.

I saw it's not the same error every time either. I made sure to grab these 2, but there may be more, maybe an error 27 also, I thought I saw a 27 anyway while clicking too fast.

hey I get the same thing all the time.

1 post failed to post.
Image upload failed on lemmy.world (image/jpeg, 0.13 MB). /pictrs/image returned HTTP 500 (request a26dc4d60f01bacc-IAD): {"files":null,"msg":"No such file or directory (os error 2)"}

I think you are running out of space on tmp filesystem

Hello,

this should be resolved for now. Unfortunately the root cause is still not clear and will require some additional investigation.

I can confirm I just had the exact same problem trying to comment on a piefed post and have had issues getting pictures loaded. I have no idea if it's related but lemmy.today videos almost never start and just stick on the first frame

I failed to capture the actual error message, but saw something similar (and "os error 2" seems to match the memory) uploading an image for a post this morning.
