Making of / behind the meme: a couple weeks ago I had to do some yardwork so, being a loyal citizen of !gothindustrial@lemmy.world , I put on some aggrotech (which is basically harsh electro industrial) and I was swinging around my sickle and saying things like "DIE BEFORE THE BLADE OF THE REAPER" and it reminded me of a scene from the comic "MaryDeath" and so I made a meme about it: https://piefed.social/c/gothindustrial@lemmy.world/p/2169450/mow-em-down-meme Then like a week later I had to do some more yardwork but I wasn't really feeling like more aggrotech bc it's kinda machinelike and I wanted something more, idk, fast and metal. So naturally my mind turned to Slayer. So I cued up Reign in Blood, South of Heaven, and Seasons in the Abyss and went for it. Many plants died that day. And thus the meme was born anew.
