Anthony Fokker was a Dutch guy and he built the first Dutch airplane in 1910. He started production in Germany in 1912 and moved the company to the Netherlands in 1919. Fokker Netherlands continued to build airplanes until 1996, 76 years later.
Messerschmitt was founded in 1938. So the newspaper references a story in the second world war, and at that time, Fokker was very much Dutch.

It was founded in Germany though. Moved to the Netherlands later, because Germany wasn't allowed to build planes after WWI.
