The world intelligence numbers that I've seen have Ukraine at about 1/3rd casualty rate of Russia including wounded. so roughly 500k. Incredible that they've been able to keep their loss rate so much lower, but still a devastating amount considering the population differences between the two nations. 38 million Ukraine (2024) 1.3% vs 144 million Russia (2024) 1.04%.

That low? I've seen numbers over a million for Russian military casualties. No wonder they call the invaders "orcs"

The casualty figures for the orks do also include wounded and dead, but yeah still a lot higher
