This required a decent amount of paint to get it close to color accurate, but I'm happy with the result.

@augus @gunpla Barbatos is a popular kit, but it isn't to my taste so I've never built one. But some of my friends are asking if it's a good kit for beginners. Is its reputation for loose joints true?

@loji @gunpla One of my first kits was the Barbatos Lupus, so I can recommend it pretty easily. The Lupus Rex has some color accuracy issues to work through, and I personally don't like the proportions of the base HG Barbatos.
The only joint that tends to be a bit loose in my experience is the one connecting the torso to the waist, and that is pretty easy to tighten up with super glue or purpose-made tools. There's also a spot in the middle of the torso that holds better with a bit of glue.
